Business Cards or Flyers?

When designing a business card, the main thing to remember is "what is the point"? The purpose of a business card is primarily to provide someone with your contact information. Chiefly your name, title, phone number, email, address and website.

Many times we see examples of business cards that people are treating like flyers, cramming as much information as space will allow. (ex. 10% off! Punch this card 5 times and get one free! By the way, let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in blablablablabla... etc.) This is not a good idea. It leaves an impression of confusion and disorganization, which are not words that you want your customers to associate with your business.

If your main goal is to advertise, it's best to stick to flyers, postcards and marketing brochures. These items are larger and built for colorful graphics and ad copy.

Branding Across Your Marketing Portfolio

Nothing says "awesome" like a brand new business marketing portfolio. To truly compete in today's busy marketplace it is essential to keep your branding consistent across all your printed materials. From your business card to your flyer, your letterhead to your brochure, your clients should be able to recognize your materials from a mile away!

If your business card has one set of graphics, your flyer another, your letterhead has a totally different logo and your brochure contains outdated copy you come off as disorganized and unprofessional. So what's the best way to remedy this?

Work with a designer. Make sure to communicate your idea(s) clearly so that as s/he listens to your input s/he is able to create just what you had in mind...or better!

At Print Identity, our team of highly skilled professional graphic designers can help you take an idea from the intangible to the physical. After you're happy with your design, we can help you brand across multiple promotional business materials so that when your customers see you represented in print, all they can say is "AWESOME"!
