FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DESIGN IN WORD!

"Well" you think to yourself, "it's time to design a new postcard. I'll just open up Microsoft Word and...."

Stop.

If that is really your first impulse when it comes to design, then you need an intervention. There are many reasons why professional designers used Adobe CS when creating professional promotional products, but one of the most important is DPI. Your postcard must have a minimum of 300 dpi (dot per inch) resolution. The images designed in Word are usually done at a low screen resolution of 72 dpi. Print images need to be created at 300 dpi or there will be a substantial drop in the image quality.
